April 3, 2008:  Joba pitched a scoreless 8th inning.  He struck out 1 batter while earning his 1st win of the season.  New York beat Toronto 3-2.

Opening Day, April 1, 2008: Joba pitched a scoreless eighth inning, striking out 2 batters in the New York Yankee’s opening day 3-2 win over the Toronto Blue Jays.

April 2, 2008: Did not pitch in the Yankee’s 5-2 loss to the Blue Jays.

JACOBY ELLSBURY:

Opening Day, April 1, 2008: Jacoby played left field for the Boston Red Sox and went 1 for 5, with 1 R.B.I. in the Red Sox 2-1 victory over the Oakland A’s

April 2, 2008: Played left field but had no at bats in Boston’s 5-0 win over the A’s.
